Landlocked (Bloomington, IN)
Landlocked Music is Bloomington’s only remaining locally-owned and operated independent record store and has served Bloomington since 2006. In July of 2008, the store moved to a high visibillity location on Walnut Ave, just north of the downtown square. The store is known for its extensive selection of new and used vinyl, in addition to its selection of CDs, DVDs, magazines, and cultural curiousities. The store also regularly hosts live performances from local and national performers. In 2007 the Indiana Daily Student proclaimed Landlocked to be the “coolest” record store in town. Seattle record label Light in the Attic claimed Landlocked to be “one of the great mid-western record stores.”
